1st House

2nd House

Law

This Bill was sponsored by Gavin Jennings ( ALP )

This Bill was sponsored by Robin Scott ( ALP )

Effects of Bill:

This bill being passed means that:

People will no longer need to pay a set medical excess (about $650 worth in 2021) for medical services before the TAC is liable to pay for remaining needed medical care

Jockeys and Apprentice Jockeys will now be subject to clearer rules about who to claim workers compensation from, and that workers compensation is only in relation to official work and/or training at recognised facilities
