Effects of Bill:

This bill being passed means that:

AEDs must be installed in large commercial buildings (over 600m2) and checked and maintained.

AEDs must be registered with emergency services to ensure they are known and accessible.

New fines up to $5,000 for failing to install AEDs or for tampering with them.
