Effects of this bill
If this bill passes, it means that:
Moira Shire Council is dismissed.
Current councillors lose their offices.
The Governor in Council can appoint administrators to run the council.
Administrators must perform all duties of the council and the mayor.
Administrators cannot take other paid jobs without the minister's consent.
A second general election for councillors will happen on the fourth Saturday in October 2028.
Voting is compulsory for people on the voters' roll for this election.
