Effects of this bill

If this bill passes, it means that:

The IBAC can send reports to Parliament even if court proceedings are still happening.
The IBAC must give public body officers 3 months to respond to negative findings.
The IBAC must give individuals 3 months to respond to negative comments or opinions.
The IBAC must include these responses fairly in its reports.
The IBAC can send reports to Parliament if the person does not respond.
Decision-makers must process applications under sections 59M, 100, and 147 as quickly as possible.
