The law defines a violent incident as an event that risks serious psychological harm.
This includes sexual assault or physical assault.
It also includes kidnapping or threats of assault and kidnapping.
Violent incidents are now notifiable incidents under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011.
Violent incidents are now notifiable incidents under the Safety in Recreational Water Activities Act 2011.
