Effects of this bill

If this bill passes, it means that:

The Chief Executive of Queensland Health can forfeit seized vaping goods to the State without a hearing.
The Chief Executive must give the former owner written notice and reasons for this decision.
The Chief Executive can destroy or dispose of these forfeited goods.
Hospital and Health Boards must include at least one member who is a registered clinician.
Clinician members cannot be the Chair or Deputy Chair of the board.
The Governor in Council can remove a board member if they are no longer a clinician.
Courts can order people convicted of smoking product offences to pay the State's investigation and disposal costs.
The Chief Executive must list specific acts or omissions when sending a notice to cancel a tobacco licence.
