Effects of this bill

If this bill passes, it means that:

Department employees can share student personal information with approved online services without parent consent.
Parents and students can opt out of these online services in writing.
People convicted of an indictable offence cannot serve on a P&C Association Executive Committee or subcommittee.
Principals must share student transfer notes with a student's new school within 10 school days.
Home education registration is now available until December 31 of the year a student turns 18.
Principals can let qualified teachers notify students about suspension decisions.
Special school principals can enrol students transferring from other special schools without chief executive approval.
