If this bill passes, it means that:
The Treasurer can pay $5,740,982,000 from the consolidated fund.
This money funds government departments for the financial year starting 1 July 2024.
Each department in Schedule 1 gets the total amount listed for that department.
Departments must use the money for departmental services.
Departments must use the money for administered items.
Departments must use the money for equity adjustments.
