Children face the same maximum and minimum penalties as adults for specified offences.
Courts can sentence children to life detention with a 15 year minimum non-parole period for certain crimes.
Courts have discretion over release dates for children sentenced for Adult Crime offences.
Police can use hand held scanners in designated business community precincts without senior officer approval.
Police can order people to leave a designated business community precinct for up to 24 hours.
People must give their name and address to police when receiving a move on direction.
Police can ban people from entering designated business community precincts if they behave violently or ignore move on directions.
