Effects of this bill
If this bill passes, it means that:
The Public Service of the State gets $8.462 billion for the financial year ending 30 June 2027.
The money comes from the Consolidated Account.
Spending for a specific purpose cannot exceed the amount Parliament gave for that same purpose in 2025/2026.
Money can move to a second agency if the first agency is abolished.
Money can move to a second agency if functions are transferred from the first agency.
This transfer counts as spending for the same purpose as the original 2025/2026 appropriation.
