Murderers of intimate partners face a standard non-parole period of 25 years.
The Director of Public Prosecutions can now approve prosecutions for sexual offences involving people with cognitive impairments.
The Director of Public Prosecutions can now approve prosecutions under section 78F of the Crimes Act.
The definition of personal violence offence now includes more crimes under the Crimes Act.
The old sentencing table still applies to murders committed before this Act.
