Effects of this bill
If this bill passes, it means that:
The Hunter New England Local Health District is dissolved
The Hunter Local Health District and the New England North West Local Health District are established
The minister can transfer assets, rights and liabilities to these two new districts
The transfer of assets does not count as a breach of contract; it cannot trigger a default or end a contract
Lessees do not have to formally acknowledge the new landlord
The government will not pay compensation for the transfer of assets
State taxes and registration fees are not payable on the transfer
