If this bill passes, it means that:

Transport for NSW must consider how motor vehicle strikes affect wildlife when exercising functions under the Roads Act 1993.
Transport for NSW must consider ways to reduce these strikes when making road decisions; this includes speed limit reductions and fauna underpasses, overpasses, or fencing.
Transport for NSW must list these mitigation actions in its annual report.
The law confirms that recognising the impact of vehicle strikes on wildlife is an official object of the Roads Act 1993.
