Effects of this bill
If this bill passes, it means that:
The regulator must ensure at least 28 gigawatt hours of long-duration storage infrastructure is built by 31 December 2033.
The Energy Administration Account can pay out funds; this requires direction from the Treasurer and agreement from the Minister for Energy.
The regulator can issue determinations to adjust amounts even after the relevant authorisation expires.
The regulator can review and remake determinations regarding the adjustment of amounts.
