The Treasurer manages the Victorian Future Fund.
Money from VicRoads Modernisation and state land sales goes into the Fund.
The Treasurer can put other chosen amounts into the Fund.
Fund money can only be used to pay down state debt.
The Treasurer can use Fund money to pay for the Fund's own running costs.
The Treasurer can appoint a fund manager with the right skills.
The fund manager can invest the money using state-authorised methods.
The Department of Treasury and Finance must report the Fund's balances and payments each year.
