The Resources Minister is prohibited from granting, inviting applications for, or renewing petroleum titles, including exploration permits and production licences.
Pending applications for petroleum titles are treated as withdrawn if they are not finalised before the law takes effect.
The Resources Minister cannot grant or renew a petroleum title if the application was deemed withdrawn under the new rules.
