Effects of this bill

If this bill passes, it means that:

IBAC can publish institutional recommendations on its website.
These recommendations must not be part of a formal report.
IBAC can only publish them if it is in the public interest.
The recommendations must not contain negative comments about any person.
IBAC must publish a statement explaining why the disclosure is in the public interest.
The Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission Amendment (Public Recommendations) Act 2023 is repealed after one year.
