If this bill passes, it means that:
Photos from approved traffic enforcement devices are admissible as evidence for seatbelt offences
Digital cameras must have a prescribed security indicator to be used
Photos taken for other traffic or toll offences can be used to prove a seatbelt offence
The Governor can approve devices used to photograph drivers or passengers not wearing seatbelts
Seatbelt enforcement devices must capture the vehicle's registration number
Seatbelt offences are now classified as detectable traffic offences
All fines from camera-recorded seatbelt offences go into the Community Road Safety Fund
