Effects of this bill
If this bill passes, it means that:
Property and Development NSW can acquire land by agreement or compulsory process
Private subsidiary corporations of Property and Development NSW are banned from acquiring land
Property and Development NSW can now design government workspaces; manage land-use IT; and remediate contaminated land
The Treasurer must approve the creation of wholly owned subsidiary corporations to hold property
The Minister for Lands and Property can transfer property to Property and Development NSW via a Gazette order
Land valuations must follow the Treasurer's directions and Government Sector Finance Act policy
Crown Land Management Act leases become leases with Property and Development NSW if the land is vested in the agency
