Effects of this bill

If this bill passes, it means that:

Bans conducting greyhound racing meetings; bans operating trial tracks or providing betting services for the sport.
Criminalises breeding or keeping greyhounds for racing in or outside New South Wales.
Bans owners from exporting greyhounds or moving them to other states for racing.
Criminalises the destruction of registered greyhounds; vets can still euthanise animals to prevent cruelty.
The Minister must appoint an administrator to take over the management of Greyhound Racing NSW.
The administrator is not personally liable for actions taken in good faith.
Ends racecourse licences that allow greyhound racing meetings.
