Effects of this bill
If this bill passes, it means that:
The Administration Fund can now pay for expenses listed in the regulations.
The fund can no longer pay for expenses that are already covered by electoral allowances under the Parliamentary Remuneration Act 1989.
Regulations for these new expenses can be backdated to 1 April 2023; this applies to regulations made before 1 July 2024.
