If this bill passes, it means that:
Entering or remaining in someone's home or building without consent now triggers a higher charge for aggravated sexual assault.
The same rule applies to sexual intercourse or sexual acts with children aged 10 to 16; it also applies to the production of child abuse material.
It is a criminal offence to enter or remain in another person's building without consent and assault someone with intent to murder; this includes inflicting grievous bodily harm.
Entering a home with the intent to commit a serious crime is now an offence.
It is a crime to enter or remain in another person's building without consent to commit or intend to commit a serious crime.
