Effects of this bill

If this bill passes, it means that:

The NSW Parliament cannot make laws that establish a religion.
The NSW Parliament cannot ban the free exercise of a religion.
The NSW Parliament cannot restrict freedom of speech or the freedom of the press.
The NSW Parliament cannot stop people from peaceably assembling.
The NSW Parliament cannot stop people from petitioning the government for a redress of grievances.
The Parliament cannot remove these protections unless voters approve the change in a referendum.
