Effects of this bill
If this bill passes, it means that:
People who use a closed road without a reasonable excuse can be fined $1,000.
In Land Forces security areas, police officers can stop people and require them to give their full name, date of birth, and home address.
In Land Forces security areas, police officers can require people to remove or adjust face coverings so the officer can see their face or check their identity.
In Land Forces security areas, police officers can conduct basic searches of people and use metal detectors on people or their belongings.
People on an excluded persons list can be fined $36,000 or jailed for 3 years if they enter or stay in the event area without the Commissioner's written permission.
People who fail to follow a move-on order without a reasonable excuse can be fined $12,000 or jailed for 1 year.
People who fail to follow a police direction without a reasonable excuse can be fined $12,000 or jailed for 1 year.
