Effects of this bill

If this bill passes, it means that:

The National Joint Replacement Register levy is no longer capped at $5,000 per medical device.
Companies pay the levy in proportion to how many joint replacement devices they actually supply, instead of a flat per-device cap.
The change applies to devices supplied from 1 July 2027 onwards.
