The government can now create exemptions from the Food Act 2003. This lets the government excuse certain people or activities, such as school or charity barbecues, from following specific rules or paying fees.

The definition of a 'public institution' under the Food Act 2003 is now a fixed list. It no longer includes examples outside of that list.

The Blood Transfusion (Limitation of Liability) Act 1986 is repealed. National rules and health frameworks now cover blood safety and liability.

The North West Maternity (Employee Entitlements) Act 2023 is repealed. The one-off transfer of entitlements for eligible employees is now complete.

The Poisons Amendment Act 2009 is repealed because its changes are already part of the main poisons and drug laws.

The Ambulance Service (Paramedic) Amendment Regulations 2018 are rescinded because their changes are already part of the main paramedic regulations.

26 other smaller bits of sub-legislation are also being cleaned off the books, because they have either already been absorbed into other bigger laws ('acts') or have expired.
