The Commonwealth must refund fees paid for pathology laboratory approvals or undertakings that take effect on or after 1 July 2025.

The Minister must give a notice to people whose undertakings are accepted; this notice must state when the undertaking starts, how long it lasts, and how to apply to the Administrative Review Tribunal for a review.

The Minister can approve or refuse written applications for premises to be accredited as pathology laboratories.

The Minister must give the applicant a copy of the approval if the pathology laboratory premises are approved.
