Effects of this bill

If this bill passes, it means that:

The Minister for Health must give a notice specifying the start date and duration when accepting an undertaking from a person; the notice must state the right to seek a review from the Administrative Review Tribunal.
The Minister for Health can approve or refuse written applications for premises to be accredited pathology laboratories.
The Minister for Health must give the applicant a copy of the approval if the premises are approved.
The Commonwealth must refund fees paid under the repealed Fees Act for undertakings or premises approvals that take effect on or after 1 July 2025.
