Effects of this bill

If this bill passes, it means that:

People entering Australia must state if they received an organ transplant overseas within the last 5 years.
These people must provide the country, town or city; they must also provide the name of the medical facility for each transplant.
Passenger cards must include these specific questions about overseas organ transplants.
The Health Minister must table an annual report in Parliament; this report must list the number of affirmative answers and the medical facilities specified.
An independent review must examine how these rules operate after 3 years.
The review must produce a written report for the Health Minister; the Health Minister must then table this report in Parliament.
