Effects of this bill

If this bill passes, it means that:

Officers of registered organisations can now be disqualified for any period; the previous 5-year limit is removed.
The scope of officer vacancies now includes disqualified officers.
The 5-year maximum disqualification limit is removed for the CFMEU Construction and General Division.
The administrator can change existing disqualification periods; this only applies if the original disqualification was longer than 4 years.
The administrator must make any decisions to change disqualification periods within 12 months of the law starting.
