Effects of this bill
If this bill passes, it means that:
The Minister for Health must notify people when an undertaking comes into force; the notice must state the period of effect.
The Minister must inform people that they can apply to the Administrative Review Tribunal to review the period of effect.
The Minister for Health can approve or refuse written applications for premises to become accredited pathology laboratories.
The Minister must give a copy of the approval to the applicant if the premises are approved.
The Commonwealth must refund fees paid under the repealed Fees Act for undertakings or premises approvals that take effect on or after 1 July 2025.
