Effects of this bill
If this bill passes, it means that:
Pool owners of regulated swimming pools must obtain a compliance status certificate if the pool is not fully exempt.
Pool owners must lodge compliance status and partial exemption certificates with the construction occupations registrar within 30 days of receiving them.
It is a criminal offence for pool owners to fail to obtain or lodge these certificates.
Corporate construction occupation licences are automatically suspended if the company enters administration, receivership or liquidation.
People responsible for medical gas systems commit an offence if those systems are unsafe.
Certifiers must provide copies of specific notices and drawings showing completed work when finishing building projects.
People approving building manuals must now approve the manual.
