Effects of this bill
If this bill passes, it means that:
The bill sets aside money for territory entities for recurrent payments; it also provides for capital injections and payments made on behalf of the Territory.
Funds are appropriated to the Treasurer's advance.
Funds are appropriated to the capital works reserve.
The Financial Management Act 1996 applies to most of these appropriations; this excludes the ACT Executive, the ACT Gambling and Racing Commission, and several other specific bodies.
The Justice and Community Safety Directorate's appropriation in column 4 is subject to section 17A of the Financial Management Act 1996.
Most capital injections are defined as the cost of purchasing or developing assets; this also includes reducing liabilities.
