Parent entities and service group members are jointly liable for news media bargaining charges
Entities liable for the charge must give a return to the Commissioner within 6 months after the financial year ends
The Commissioner must be notified of which Australian resident member of a service group is providing the return
Bargaining charges must be paid within 21 days of a notice of assessment
Unpaid charges and shortfall interest attract a daily general interest charge
Taxpayers cannot deduct news media bargaining charges from their income tax
