If this bill passes, it means that:
The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) must notify the Communications Department Secretary when a news business or corporation registers, is endorsed, or has its registration or endorsement revoked.
The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) must notify the Communications Department Secretary when a news source is added to or removed from a news business.
Notifications must be sent as soon as practicable and must specify the day the event occurred.
Notifications must include the corporation's point of contact and, if a news business is involved, details of each news source.
