Effects of this bill

If this bill passes, it means that:

Broadcasters cannot show wagering ads during live sporting events between 8:30 pm and 6:00 am
Radio stations cannot broadcast wagering ads on school days from 8 am to 9 am or 3 pm to 4 pm; dedicated racing programs are exempt
Wagering service providers cannot put ads on uniforms or at sporting venues
Wagering service providers cannot pay celebrities or influencers to promote gambling; racing-only promotions are exempt
Internet and search engine providers cannot use their infrastructure to provide access to designated gambling services
ACMA can order online services to remove gambling ads or links within 24 hours
Wagering services must block anyone on the National Self-exclusion Register from betting
Entities cannot use personal data collected for gambling restrictions for any other purpose without consent
