Effects of this bill

If this bill passes, it means that:

Core State and Territory entities must notify the Minister about core foreign arrangements within 3 months.
State and Territory entities must notify the Minister about non-core foreign arrangements within 3 months.
Core State and Territory entities must notify the Minister if a core foreign arrangement ends early.
The Minister can order a State or Territory entity to provide details on specific arrangements within 14 days.
The Minister can decide that a foreign arrangement is valid even if it was previously cancelled.
Entrusted persons can share information about these arrangements with Commonwealth entities to help them do their jobs.
Universities lose their institutional autonomy if they are in a foreign country where a foreign government controls their governance, education or research.
