Effects of this bill

If this bill passes, it means that:

Public health facilities and public housing are now classified as territory priority projects.
A project is related to a public health facility if it is done for the Territory; it must support the construction, operation, or maintenance of hospitals, mental health facilities, or residential care.
Infrastructure like access roads, electricity, and parking for health facilities also counts as a priority project.
A project is related to public housing if it is done for the housing commissioner; it must support the construction, operation, or maintenance of housing on land controlled by the commissioner.
The Planning Act 2023 Dictionary now includes the housing commissioner.
