If this bill passes, it means that:
Children and young people face fines for using false IDs or placing same-day liquor delivery orders.
Same-day delivery providers face fines or jail for supplying liquor without a licence.
Providers face fines for delivering more liquor than the regulated daily limit.
Providers face fines for delivering liquor before the two-hour delayed delivery period ends.
Providers and delivery drivers face fines for delivering liquor outside the hours of 10 am to 10 pm.
Providers and delivery drivers face fines for delivering liquor to prohibited public places; this includes areas within 50m of bus stations or light rail stops.
People can tell delivery providers to exclude them from liquor supplies and direct marketing.
Providers face fines for taking orders from or marketing to self-excluded people.
Children or young people who order alcohol for same-day delivery, or use a fake ID to order or receive it, can be fined up to 5 penalty units.
Same-day delivery providers who sell alcohol without a licence can be fined up to 100 penalty units, jailed for 12 months, or both.
Same-day delivery providers can be fined up to 50 penalty units if they deliver alcohol before the 2-hour delayed delivery period ends, or if they deliver more than the daily limit allowed by law.
Same-day delivery providers or drivers can be fined up to 50 penalty units for delivering alcohol outside the allowed hours of 10 am to 10 pm.
Delivering alcohol to prohibited public places--including alcohol-free zones or within 50m of bus stops, light rail stops, and shops--carries a fine of up to 50 penalty units for providers and up to 10 penalty units for other drivers.
People can ask same-day delivery providers to exclude them from receiving alcohol deliveries and direct marketing.
Same-day delivery providers can be fined up to 50 penalty units if they deliver alcohol to, or market to, a person who has asked to be excluded.
