Effects of this bill

If this bill passes, it means that:

The First Ministers' Council replaces COAG as the body associated with the health administrator's functions.
The First Ministers' Council must provide directions to the health administrator via written resolutions; these must follow the council's own determined procedures.
The Ministerial Council replaces the standing council on health and the COAG Energy Council in health and utilities laws.
The Ministerial Council replaces the Transport and Infrastructure Council for the definition of relevant documents in dangerous goods road transport proceedings.
The First Ministers' Council and Ministerial Council can finish tasks started by the bodies they replaced.
References to COAG and the standing council on health are retrospectively updated to the new councils.
