Effects of this bill

If this bill passes, it means that:

Police can stop people in Land Forces security areas; they can demand a full name, date of birth and residential address
Police can use metal detectors or arch scanners on people entering or inside these areas
Police can search people and vehicles in Land Forces security areas; they can move vehicles or force people to get out
Police can ban people from these areas if they are on an excluded persons list or refuse to identify themselves
It is a criminal offence to behave threateningly or carry prohibited items in a Land Forces security area
People face up to one year in prison and a $12,000 fine for ignoring police directions in these areas
People face up to one year in prison and a $12,000 fine for refusing to give personal details when being removed
