Effects of this bill

If this bill passes, it means that:

Scheme participants must meet training and competency requirements before starting nominated activities; they must provide evidence to the ESC.
Fines apply to participants who give false or misleading evidence of training to accredited persons.
The Governor in Council can ban or regulate fees that licensees charge customers.
Any contract term allowing a banned fee is void.
The Minister and ESC must follow specific principles regarding professionalism and risk management when running the VEU scheme.
The Minister can declare which activities qualify for VEU certificates.
The Minister can approve a dispute resolution scheme for VEU activities.
