Effects of this bill
If this bill passes, it means that:
Sundays occurring before the Public Holidays Act 2023 started are no longer considered public holidays; this applies even if the Holidays Act 1910 suggested otherwise.
The Governor can make regulations to create exceptions to this rule.
The Legislation Interpretation Act 2021 no longer applies to section 27(6) of the Explosives Act 2024.
