Eligible employees can work from home up to two days a week; this is pro rata for those working fewer than 38 hours.
Employees must give written notice of their intended days, times, and location.
Employers must grant the request unless it is unreasonable; they must respond in writing within 21 days.
Employers can only judge reasonableness based on role requirements, business impact, or prescribed matters.
Employers must pay for essential hardware, software, and secure system access.
The Tribunal can order an employer to let an employee work from home if the law is broken.
These rules only apply to businesses with fewer than 15 employees starting 1 July 2027.
