If this bill passes, it means that:

People can now use a candidate's name without authority in advertisements, handbills, pamphlets, posters or notices.
The ban on using a candidate's name without authority still applies to 'how to vote' cards.
The Electoral Amendment Act 2025 ends on its first anniversary.
