Effects of this bill

If this bill passes, it means that:

Reportable offenders are banned from committing further reportable offences.
Reportable offenders are banned from working in child-related services.
Reportable offenders must not remove, damage or disable their electronic monitoring devices.
Evidence from electronic monitoring devices can now be used in court.
Reportable offenders must provide mobile phone numbers; they must also provide device passwords and the names and ages of their children.
Reportable offenders must provide the names, ages and contact details of any child they have a personal relationship with.
The Commissioner can require a person charged with a reportable offence to disclose information about child-related services before their first court appearance.
People who refuse to make this disclosure face a fine or jail.
