Effects of this bill

If this bill passes, it means that:

Fines go up to $50,000 for breaking plumbing licensing regulations
Inspectors can enter premises; they can demand documents or order the fix of dangerous plumbing work
The Board and Building Commissioner can share information with each other
Administrators can use or disclose plumbing license data for legal proceedings; they can also do so with written consent
Prosecutors must start legal action within 2 years of an offence; for old offences, they only have 12 months from the start date
The Minister can give directions to the Board or Building Commissioner; the Minister cannot interfere in specific investigations or enforcement cases
