The Administrative Review Tribunal replaces the Administrative Appeals Tribunal across multiple laws.
The Administrative Review Tribunal Act 2024 replaces the Administrative Appeals Tribunal Act 1975
The definition of a decision now follows the meaning set out in the Administrative Review Tribunal Act 2024
The Administrative Review Tribunal now handles reviews for decisions made under the Water Efficiency Labelling and Standards Act, the Human Reproductive Technology Act, the Gene Technology Act, the Therapeutic Goods Law Application Act, and the Marine Safety (Domestic Commercial Vessel National Law Application) Act.
The ART now handles reviews for decisions made under the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals (Western Australia) Act.
The bill updates the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition (Western Australia) Act and the Mutual Recognition (Western Australia) Act to match changes made to federal laws about the new tribunal.
