Effects of this bill
If this bill passes, it means that:
The Territory Coordinator can issue a step-in notice to make a statutory decision; they must consult the responsible entity first.
Authorised people can enter land without a warrant to work on ICP developments or TDA plans.
People cannot review or appeal decisions made under this Act.
Giving intentionally misleading information is a criminal offence.
Public entities must share information and documents with the Territory Coordinator.
Responsible entities cannot approve activities on ICA land unless they match the approved ICP.
Responsible entities must follow progression-related requests; they must notify the Territory Coordinator once they comply.
The Minister must table a report in the Legislative Assembly within 6 sitting days after the Territory Coordinator's appointment ends.
