If this bill passes, it means that:
People in charge of animals face fines for failing to provide water or shelter
Fines apply to anyone who secures a dog in a way that causes unnecessary suffering
Authorised officers can enter premises if they have reasonable grounds
People cannot use electric stock prods on an animal's face, udders, anus, or genitals; they cannot use them on animals under 3 months old
People can use electro-ejaculators to collect semen from conscious cattle, buffalo, or sheep
People can use electronic collars and transmitters to contain dogs or cats
People possessing animal sexual abuse or crush material are exempt from prosecution if the material is for legitimate medical or health research
